This American Whiskey was created in the image of Hunter S. Thompson with the steward of his estate, his wife Anita. Over 5 years, the team worked to blend Kentucky bourbon from where Hunter was born with the spirit of his Colorado home.

The Three Gonzo Whiskey Expressions (Dr. Gonzo Wheated Bourbon, Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride Ryed, and First Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon) have consistency across batches, and scalability, which positions the brand to appeal to both casual drinkers and seasoned enthusiasts. Dr. Gonzo Wheated Bourbon was designed as the brand’s flagship expression, prioritizing balance and versatility with 4- to 6-year-old wheated bourbon barrels to achieve smooth richness without cloying sweetness. Neat, on the rocks, or in classic cocktails, this whiskey is a great on-ramp for new consumers.
